Pep came to me and became the most important part of my
dog training life. She always has given me more than any person could
ask for. She has excelled where I am average and never thought of doing
less. Full of life and always optimistic, her natural athleticism and
trainability has lead her to a notable career.
In 1997 she anchored the Sound Breakers Flyball team
to the NAFA North West Championship and set and held the Northwest
speed record at 17.6 seconds until 2003!!
She then began agility and in a short time held Outstanding
Performance titles in NADAC Elite. In 2000 she won the regional
qualifier for the USDAA Grand Prix, and competed at the nationals
that year. Pep frequently won Masters and Elite classes. I in fact
had not reliazed how many classes Pep had won, until I moved to Australia....I
had boxes and boxes of blues.
Pep is also a courageous sheep dog, and has taught me so
much about working sheep. She has had two outstanding litters of
pups. Giving me Lill and Bryte who both bring forward her remarkable
traits.
At 12 years Pep competed in ADAA and NADAC masters level classes and
still brings home the blues! Pep is 14 years old now. She enjoys working
in the garden with me and is still the first to jump in the car to go to
town for lunch!
She has three generations of offspring surronding her, including her great
grand daugther Wink who is very much like Pep.
Pep was the first dog that I competed
with and has always shown me the way and she continues to do so.
