Linebreeding
Analysis
Determine the most
genetically influential ancestors in a dog’s pedigree. Linebreeding is the art
of increasing relationships to desirable ancestors while decreasing the
relationships to undesirable ancestors; all the while maintaining
inbreeding at an acceptably low level. Estimating the effectiveness of a
Linebreeding program by visually examining pedigrees is a crude and often
unreliable technique. SeaJay Genetic Analyses quantify the relationships to

Display lines of descent

Test Breedings
Do breedings "on
paper". You can create hypothetical dogs in the Database using, as
parents, dogs that you might actually wish to breed together. The
offspring’s inbreeding and genetic makeup can then be analyzed just like
any other dog’s. This greatly helps in predicting what the results of any breeding
might be. By test breeding these hypothetical dogs to either real or other
hypothetical dogs, you can prototype a multi-generation breeding program.

Test Entry Forms for any dog.
Although some other products allow creation of entry forms, SeaJay
takes this a step farther. With a few clicks, SeaJay not only creates the
form, it will also do the fee arithmetic and verify the form for
completeness and accuracy. You would be notified if, for example, you tried
to enter a dog in a wrong sex or age class.
